La scuola in Festival – International Festival of School Arts- 3rd Edition

For the attention of the Director’s/Headmaster’s Office

Dear Headmaster/Director,

 “Spettacolando” non-profit Cultural Organization of Pozzuoli (Naples) is organizing   the 3rd edition of “La scuola in Festival- International Festival of School Arts”, which will take place in the “ Mediterraneo” theatre of Naples on May 2012. 

This Festival aims to create an opportunity of fair and correct competition for all the realities (organizations, schools etc…) operating in the National and International territory; its main target is to get together all those young people who love the artistic world in order to encourage and give them an opportunity of artistic growth. 

In occasion of the 3^rd edition of the Festival, “Spettacolando” Organization has decided to open its doors also to National and International schools and organizations, in the utter conviction of its important and educative growth level.  This Festival could be also a field trip for all the schools: in facts, there are hundreds of artistic and landscape beauties not just in Naples, but also in the Phlegrean Fields zone too.

In addition to the last editions patronages received by the M.I.U.R ( the Italian Ministry of Education and Research), the Campania Regional Education Office, the District of Naples office, the Municipality of Pozzuoli, the ANP- Associazione Presidi e Alte Professionalità della Scuola- Campania ( the Italian Association of Headmasters of Campania region), this year “Spettacolando” organization has also received the patronage of the Office of the Prime Minister , that gives more prestige to this event.

All private and public schools, academies, dance, ballet, music and acting schools, cultural organizations, young parish groups etc…( operating in Italy and abroad) can take part in this Festival, which is divided in four categories: Dance for Schools Festival, School Music Festival, Theatre and Musical Festival and Poetry and Journalism School Festival. 

The President of the Dance Panel of Judges will be the world famous dancing teacher, choreographer and dancer STEVE LACHANCE, who will give the best finalist schools’ pupils the opportunity to take a dance class with him.

The winners of the Dance, Music and Theatre competitions will be awarded a special prize of 500,00 €. 

Steps of the competitions:

1. Schools planning to participate in this Festival must send a registration form
2. Schools confirming their participation must send all the documentation specified into each set of rules of each competition
3. Finalist schools must send all the documentation specified into each set of rules of each competition
4. Finalist schools will be afterwards communicated the performance dates.

We recommend you send as soon as possible at least the registration form, seen that schools sending it by time will be given priority.

IUGTE and ArtUniverse have announced Scholarships for postgraduate course 2011-2012.
 
International practical course with the opportunity to take part in a performance project in a Russian repertory theatre together with Russian actors and performers from different countries.

Practical sessions will take place in Italy and Russia.

The scholarships are announced in the four categories:

For arts managers
For dancers, actors of physical theatre, circus performers
For theatre directors
For video makers
